I'm Rachel (she/her), a queer therapist who helps folks explore identity, heal from trauma, process anxiety and emotions, and reconnect with what matters most to them. My work is especially focused on supporting LGBTQIA+, QTBIPOC, Neurodivergent, and folks exploring or redefining their understanding of themselves.
If you’re looking for support with gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, your values, and your relationships, building affirming and accessible systems that work for you, or creating a life that feels more authentic, empowered, and aligned with who you are, let’s talk.
I provide telehealth sessions to adults (18+) located anywhere in California.
Therapy Specialities
LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy
Affirming therapy for folks looking for support with exploring identity, relationships, life transitions, questioning, coming out later in life, building community, processing systemic harm and current events, or simply working with a therapist who has a shared cultural understanding of queer identity, coming out, community, discrimination, and intersectionality.
Gender Affirming Therapy
Questions about who we are can arise at any stage of life. We can explore gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, cultural identity, racial identity, values, and other aspects of self to help you better understand yourself and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. Read more about Gender Affirming therapy for all gender identities (trans, nonbinary, gender diverse) below.
Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy
For ADHD, Autistic, or AuDHD folks who are navigating a recent diagnosis, diagnosed later in life, questioning if you may be neurodivergent, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can help you better understand your needs and build systems that work with you, not against you.
Intersectionality
Our experiences are shaped by the many identities we hold and the systems we move through. Therapy can provide space to explore how race, culture, religion, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, disability, and other aspects of identity intersect and impact your experiences, relationships, mental health, and well-being.
Therapy for Trauma
Trauma can affect how we see ourselves, relate to others, and move through the world long after difficult experiences have passed. Together, we'll work to process painful experiences, increase a sense of safety and self-trust, and support healing at a pace that feels right for you. EMDR, Narrative therapy, and somatic interventions can support relief from trauma symptoms.
Therapy for Anxiety
If you are feeling overwhelmed, panic, stuck, and exhausted, therapy can help you better understand the experience of anxiety and underlying causes, notice patterns and develop practical strategies to feel more grounded and present in your daily life, develop practical coping tools, and build a more flexible relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions.
